In 2018, China government issues many new tax regulations, the content covers many tax items, for example, VAT, CIT, stamp duty and IIT. How do these new tax regulations influence foreign companies and foreign individuals in China? Especially the new IIT law which will be taken into effect from Jan 1st, 2019, it will be a big change to the current IIT law. Companies and foreigners should pay attention to the changes and impacts and get ready for it.
Under the invitation of Canada China Business Council (CCBC), tax expert Ms. Sophie Tian of Lee & Lee Associates held one seminar on tax for their members in Beijing on 22 November 2018.
At the seminar, Ms. Sophie Tian talked about new tax regulations, main changes and impacts of the new IIT law, agreement between China and Canada for the avoidance of double taxation, CRS, case studies etc.
Lee & Lee Associates has been providing financial and tax services to a number of small- and medium-sized FIEs and Ms. Sophie Tian is very experienced in tax field. The seminar was well appreciated by CCBC Beijing office and the attendees. One company even drove two hours to attend and expressed their thanks to Ms. Tian.
